About Byland Media

Professional Wedding Videography
you can trust...

Byland Media was created by Mike and Breda Wells in 2002 to provide video and audio services. Previously, Mike had spent twenty years working for the BBC as a broadcast engineer in London, Nottingham and York. He then left to become a director of HI-Q Broadcast Ltd. Now, Mike’s vast experience is available to you on your wedding day through Byland Media.

Mike has always enjoyed working on Outside Broadcasts. He has been responsible for programmes from the Chelsea Flower Show, Royal Albert Hall, York Minster and Wembley Stadium. He provided the broadcast sound for the enthronements of two Archbishops and two Bishops, winning a prestigious Sony Award in the process. For many years he was the engineer for BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time, the longest-running radio programme in the world.

Breda works with Mike when filming weddings. They met and were married when she was attached as an Education Producer in the BBC. Her friendly interview technique is appreciated when we are filming loving messages from wedding guests.

Quality Assurance

As a Master Member of the Institute of Videography, Mike Wells can offer you peace of mind. Membership indicates a level of quality, a guarantee that you are employing a professional videographer. If things go wrong, we can call upon a network of other qualified members and in the unlikely event that there is a dispute, the IOV offers an independent arbitration service.

Byland Media Wedding DVDs are covered by a life-time guarantee. If you have an accident with one, return it to us and we will give you a free replacement. We have even replaced a couple’s DVD which had been chewed by their dog!
